Join Denise Adaoyibo Okpala for an overview of the marine environment of the West African region. This will include an introduction to coastal communities, geographic features and the associated marine resources. Denise will share with you some of the marine environmental challenges associated with her work including socio-economic implications, legal frameworks, and financing mechanisms. Denise will also go through how herself and her colleagues were able to create frameworks and policies specifically for sustainability finance in marine environmental projects in West African countries.
