Join us for this year's Annual Science Talk either in person or online (link for in-person event below).  The Annual Science Talk is given by a prestigious marine biologist making incredible contributions to their field.  It follows the Marine Biological Association's Annual General Meeting (AGM) which is being held nearby at our Plymouth Headquarters, if you are Member please consider making a day of it and attending both .

This year's speaker, Christian Sardet, is the creator of award-winning documentaries, animated films and DVDs, Christian received the European Award for Communication in Life Sciences from the European Molecular Biology Organization (EMBO) and received the “Légion d’Honneur” for his contributions.

In his own words his talk will cover:

A dozen years ago, with a few colleagues I imagined the Tara Oceans expedition, an exploration of plankton in all oceans of the world, the results of which are still a source of new discoveries. To accompany and popularize the expedition, with my son Noé, we imagined "Plankton Chronicles", an art and science project which included a web site, videos, photos, exhibits & installations, a book and workshops. In the last few years I've been writing and drawing about cells and evolution for the publication of a new book.
