About the role

Join us and take a lead on our health and safety agenda based at our iconic Plymouth site. No day will be the same as the central point of advice and the person ensuring the ongoing improvement and effectiveness of our health and safety management system. You must be comfortable working in a multi-disciplinary environment, reporting to senior management/Trustees, auditing and developing and implementing policies and new ways of working. Our activities range from laboratory and shore-based fieldwork to seagoing and diving and so you’ll need confidence and credibility to operate and advise across the breadth of our on-site and off-site activities. You’ll need to be a pragmatic problem solver that is used to thinking on your feet in dynamic or novel environments.

If you have a commitment to promoting a safety culture that is grounded in a working knowledge of current health and safety legislation, then this could be the role for you.
