The role
The MBA Data Team has an international reputation for innovative, standards-based data management solutions. As part of its work supporting the wider Marine Biological community in the UK the MBA Data Team operates DASSH, the UK Archive for Marine Species and Habitats Data and UK Node for the Ocean Biodiversity Information System (OBIS), publishing and preserving over 5 million marine species and biotope records.
DASSH works in partnership with organisations globally contributing data and technical expertise to create a more complete picture of the ocean’s species and habitats; an essential resource that maximises the use of marine data and increases its impact through tools that inform conservation decision making national and global policy.
As our Strategic Project Manager, you will be an experienced Project Manager providing strategic oversight and coordination of our Data Team’s projects and contracts. In this key role, you will drive the timely delivery of project targets through effective tracking, reporting, and team coordination. You will oversee multiple projects, ensuring efficient workflows and high-quality outputs and contribute to future funding opportunities. With a background in project management methodologies and experience in liaising across technical teams, you will bring structure, clarity, and precision to complex projects. Salary and benefits
- 30 days annual leave plus Bank Holidays (pro-rata)
- 3 Privilege Days given by the MBA (used during festive closure week)

- Pension scheme – the MBA will contribute 10% of basic salary into a defined contribution scheme with staff making a 3% minimum contribution. The MBA will match additional employee contributions up to an additional 5%
