University Field Courses
The historic backdrop of the MBA’s original lab alongside the fantastic coastline of the south west of England and the facilities and expertise the MBA has to offer makes this the ideal location for gaining hands-on field experience.
Universities and other institutes regularly bring groups of students to our Plymouth based lab for field trips and boat based survey work.

Fantastic Location
Facilities include our fantastic Research Vessel MBA Sepia, a fully equipped teaching lab, lecture rooms, access to our research aquarium for specimen storage and first class catering with a view.
A variety of easy to access habitats are close by both within Plymouth’s National Marine Park and outside of it giving easy access to rocky shores, sandy beaches, mud flat and a range of benthic habitats via RV Sepia.
