What value will the masterclass bring to me and my career in Marine Biology?

Will I be able to ask questions during the masterclass?
Yes, you will be able to submit questions via the chat. During the materclass their will be several Q & A pitstops during which the trainer will answer as many questions from the chat as possible. Priority will be given to questions that are relevant to all. If you have specific questions you would like to ask we recommend you sign up for a ticket which includes a 10 minute bid surgery, this will allow you to ask Kevin questions on a 1:1 basis.
I mainly apply for funding that is not with NERC but is Marine Biology related, will this workshop be useful to me?
Yes, the masterclass will cover bid writing technique that can be applied to most funder's application processes.
Will this workshop guarantee that my applications will be successful?
That is never possible to guarantee, because there are so many factors involved in winning a bid. However, the knowledge you will gain will help to better optimise your chances of winning.
What is the advantage of attending a bid surgery on top of the masterclass? What other benefits will I gain?
A bid surgery will enable you to discuss your specific projects and explore suitable funding opportunities. The feedback from previous masterclasses shows this to be consider very useful by masterclass participants.
I want to book the masterclass and the 10 minute bid surgery, when and how can I book my surgery?
A month before the event you will be e-mailed with a link to Calendly which will enable you to book your session. Slots will be available during the afternoon after the masterclass. If you are unable to attending during the times available then you will have the opportunity to book an alternative time in the 4 weeks following the event.
I cannot make it on the day can I catch up on the recording?
Yes you will be able to access the recording which will be uploaded a week after the live event. You will only be able to access this if you have booked on the course but were unable to make it on the day.
Will I receive a certificate?
Yes, you will receive a downloadable pdf certificate upon competition of the course
If I am unable to attend what is your cancellation policy?
If you need to cancel your place on a course please do this through MyMBA. If you cancel a course or event booking more than 30 days before the start date of the event you are eligible to receive a full refund minus an admin fee equal to 5% of the course fee that you have paid. If you cancel a course or event booking within 30 days of the start date you will NOT be eligible for a refund.
